Here's a little chant to keep preschool children engaged during the telling of Boucle d'Or et les Trois Ours. Use it to send the bears out into the forest and then to bring them back to the house. Bébé Ours, Bébé Ours, Marche, marche, marche Bébé Ours, Bébé Ours Marche dans la forêt. Repeat for Maman Ours & Papa Ours, chanting louder and louder each time, with larger and larger leg taps! To return to the house, do this similar chant: Bébé Ours, Bébé Ours, Marche, marche, marche Bébé Ours, Bébé Ours Rentre à la maison.

Sur la voie ferrée.

Les roues du train tournent et tournent, tournent et tournent, tournent et tournent,

Les roues du train tournent et tournent

Sur la voie ferrée.

I just wrapped up a delightful week of summer day camp for Kindergarten/First Graders. It was all about Madeline: books, crafts, French games, French songs, French foods, and even an imaginary trip to Paris for Madeline's birthday party. The children picked up a surprising amount of French in just one short week!

Listen to our short performance for parents on the last day. The little girls wore yellow paper hats they had made in craft time, and the boys wore tiger masks and held mice puppets. Two girls held up a big posterboard "old house in Paris that was covered in vines" . . . vines we had collected on a hike to a creek.

Such a wonderful week! Enjoy the little Madeline show!
